HOW TO FIND A LOST/STOLEN ANDROID PHONE

I misplaced my android phone which I've purchased just two months back with my savings. I had no idea, was it stolen or lost within the house. How it feels, when someone looses his/her brand new phone, actually it's not about a brand new or an old one  and it doesn't matter about the money. The important thing is, you have Pictures, Videos,  Contacts, Emails, Messages,  Documents, Financial information and lot of Personal/Official data in it. This is the worst situation. Later on, I had found mine, it was laying inside the inner deep corner of Sofa and it was on silent mode.
Today I'll share the option with you, so you can track your android phone. It will show you
the exact location of the phone on "Google Map" with the support of GPS and most important the android phone will ring at it's full volume even on silent mode.

It's only for ANDROID phones.

Android Device Manager is the app powered by Google which can be downloaded from Google Play Store and it's absolutely free.

1. Download the App- Android Device Manager.
 2. You need to register yourself with a Gmail ID and set up a new Password for Device Manager. ( Please set up a new password, don't use your gmail password).
 3. You can login now.

  - Please make sure that the Mobile Data (Internet) and Location (GPS) options should be ON/Enable to use this app. However, it doesn't mean that you can't put these options Off/Disable but when you keep these options Off the app will not be able to locate the location of the phone without GPS and Mobile Data.

How to Enable Mobile Data?
  - Go to phone Settings.
  - Data usage.
  - Mobile Data : On/Off.
  - Set up it ON.

How to Enable Location?
  - Go to Phone Settings.
  - Location : On/Off
  - Set up it ON

One of my friend asked me that if  Mobile Data and Location options are always enable, so the phone will consume lot of Data?
Yes, it'll but it's not that much. The app will consume Data when it's running on background.

By paying a little bit cost of Data it gives the security assurance, however, you can turn Mobile Data Off when you don't need it. Like, at the night or when you are at home or as per your requirement, as I do. I keep it Off and when I go outside then I turn it On.

Actually if you keep it ON 24/7 then it will not cost you a much, so it's up to you.

How to use Android Device Manager?

  - Go to the official website of Android Device Manager on a computer/Desktop or another mobile. ( Can be searched in Google)
  - Login ID - your login ID would be your gmail ID.
  - Password - Password of Android Device Manager which you have set up earlier at the time of registration, not the password of your gmail.
  - You are ready to login now.

Android Device Manager features Action can be perform by a website
  - Track the exact location on Map.
  - Ring Even on silent mode.
  - Lock your phone.
  - Erase/Remove all Data.

  All the functions works remotely.

One more thing.
Usually I put my phone anywhere in office/home/sometime in my kitchen  and forget, then I start searching it when I need to use my phone. Some time i find it easily and sometime someone tells me where my phone is. Sometime I make a call on my own cell from another phone, finally it rings and then I find it. Sometime my friends try to make some fun and they hide it.

Problem comes when the phone is on silent mode.

So if I have this app Android Device Manager then no one can play a trick with me to hide my phone because I know where it is and it rings at it's full volume whenever I want even on silent mode. So it's not only for stolen situation. It helps to find your phone when the phone is under a Pillow/Sofa seat means within the house/office.

I hope this will help you. So that's all for today, I'll see you next time with a new topic. Till then Keep smiling!
